Anti-Collision starts on the Circuit Board –

OEM Integration of our TRS Transmitters for Crane Systems

Less distance can quickly become very expensive. In the world of cranes and lifting systems, centimeters – and milliseconds -count.

Anti-collision systems (ACS) not only protect equipment and people, but are also a central component of modern crane architectures.

What is often underrated is that the electronics behind them has to cope with the same demands as the crane itself – pressure, shock, dirt, temperature.

Our solution: The TRS transmitters with OEM circuit board

We have worked with a systems partner from the mobile crane sector to develop a transmitter that:

  • can be integrated directly into the OEM circuit board casing
  • is CANopen-compatible and runs completely embedded
  • precisely digitizes analogue measurement data (e.g. pressure/distance)
  • can be supplied with customer specific connectors, firmware and form factors on request

The result: an ACS that does not look like a retrofit – but fits perfectly – right from the factory.

Cranes on a big construction site

The compact MicroControl µCAN transmitters of the TRS family form the link between analogue sensor technology and digital CAN network. The IP67 rated modules can be integrated directly into the measurement lines of temperature and pressure sensors at a short distance from the sensor to minimize interference and save space.
